Bosque Redondo: The Encircled Grove, New and Selected Poems
Published in Paperback by Pennywhistle Press (June, 2000)
Average review score:

To feel the mystery that is New Mexico, read this bookNew Mexico is called "the Land of Enchantment" and as a native New Mexican I can tell you that it is an apt description. Those who travel through the state on I-10 or I-25 can barely sense it. It is a harsh desert land; but it is also forested, and mysterious, with a long history, older than that of many other states, dating easily back to the 1500s. Keith Wilson knows this too...all this and more and his poetry reveals a hushed secret, as if a breath has been drawn in, then expels the secrets, the soul of the place. And his laughter reverberates. --Ronald L. Donaghe, author of Uncle Sean and All Over Him

An Introduction to Cloud Forest Trees : Monteverde, Costa Rica
Published in Paperback by Mountain Gem Pub (07 April, 2000)
Average review score:

An Introduction to Cloud Forest TreesThis book is an incredibly useful guide to the trees of Monteverde and should be bought by all students, faculty and tourists visting the area, who are interested in plants. It has a clear, easy-to-use key for plant identification and provides detailed, interesting information on most of Monteverde's important tree species. In addition, it provides a good introduction to plant ecology in the region.
I have used this book extensively in the field and have found it to be an excellent field guide. I would highly recommend it to anyone- whether a seasoned botanist or a tourist interested in learning more about the area's vegetation.

Las carpetas: persecucion politica y derechos civiles en Puerto Rico
Published in Paperback by Centro para la Investigacion y Promocion de los Derechos (CIPDC, Inc.) (December, 1997)
Average review score:

One of the best books of the year. Some of the best minds of Puerto Rico contribute political and historical essays based on government documents released through the Freedom of Information Act. This is a great primer on contemporary Puerto Rican history and the little known persecution of the independentistas by our agencies--COINTELPRO and the FBI. The tone is factual and the material compelling. Very little propagandizing is operative here. The distinguished scholars who edited this work should be lauded for their contribution to Puerto Rican scholarship and, most importantly, the search for justice.

A very recommended book to readThis is a very good book for programmers who want to introduce themselves into the world of Internet. The difference between this book and others is that the author is a professional webmaster and shows us here the tricks of the game. We can also see in the net the site working, so we feel that we are learning something "alive". Recommended for professionals and students of information technology.

Understanding 99% of Artificial Neural Networks: Introduction & Tricks
Published in Paperback by Writers Club Press (March, 2002)
Average review score:

An introductory book about neural networksThe book is clearly focused to the people who want to have an introductory vision about neural networks. Having that in mind, I can say that it is a good book, so that's why I am giving it a good score.
For the same reason, I warn the readers that it is not focused to the experts that have read many books about networks and are looking for the ultimate information about them, who may feel there are other books that are more specific; but we can't ask for that in a book that has 148 pages.

A good book for students and beginnersIf you don't know much about neural networks, it is a recommended book for beginners.
If you know (a lot) about neural networks, you won't find new concepts here, so you don't need to do it.
